Who we are
This site is operated by Upskill Africa, a tech education community founded in Nigeria in 2022. Contact: hello@upskillafrica.tech.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your name and email address (required).
- Your country and what describes you best (student, founder and so on), if you choose to tell us. These are saved with your contact record.
- Your consent to receive emails from us, and when you gave it.
We use this to tell you when Upskill AI and study groups near you open, and to plan where to run sessions. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with partners or sponsors.
Where it is stored
Waitlist contacts are stored with Resend, the email service we use to send your confirmation and future updates. The site is hosted on Vercel. These providers may process data outside your country. We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure page speed. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. We may also use Google Analytics 4, which can set cookies to measure how people use the site; see how Google uses this data. We use analytics only to improve the site.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it or by replying “unsubscribe”. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@upskillafrica.tech. We aim to reply promptly. Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 may give you further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority.
Children
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before joining the waitlist. Learners under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent to join sessions.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
